Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Cassi, has become the latest contestant to leave the “Show Ya Sef” house after securing 5.27 per cent of the votes in Sunday’s eviction show.
The 27-year-old, whose full name is Ezenwoke Nwosu, was evicted during the live broadcast hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Cassi’s departure means four housemates have now been evicted from the season, following the earlier exits of Martins, Mercedes and Kamsy. Neche, who was Head of House at the time, also left the competition voluntarily on August 16 over what organisers described as pressing personal matters.
Eight housemates were up for possible eviction this week, including Cassi, Araga, Gerard, Goddessa, Nomy, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf.
Of the nominated contestants, Nomy attracted the highest share of votes at 10.84 per cent, followed by Goddessa with 6.76 per cent. Cassi received 5.27 per cent, ending his four-week stay in the house.
Despite his exit, Cassi had a notable run in the competition. He emerged winner of the Week Four Arena Games and performed strongly in several brand tasks.
He entered the reality show as the 24th and final housemate and was introduced as an entrepreneur, actor, realtor, model and forex trader. He also had interests in drawing, painting and chiropractic therapy.
Although he generally maintained a quieter presence than some of his fellow contestants, Cassi remained active in the house’s tasks, relationships and strategic conversations.
Abi Takes Centre Stage
Cassi’s eviction was not the only major development from Sunday’s live show, as Abi was crowned the Most Influential Player for Week Four.
The announcement came after a week in which Abi held considerable authority in the house as Head of House.
She secured the position by defeating Chimsom Chuka in the final round of the Head of House challenge. The decisive task, “Copy and Paste”, required the contestants to rely on their memory while arranging a sequence of images in the correct positions.
Chimsom finished second but earned immunity from the week’s eviction nominations.
Abi’s leadership was subsequently tested by an unexpected instruction from Biggie, who handed her the responsibility of selecting three housemates from her own winning team for possible eviction.
Following discussions during Conspiracy Hour, Bells and Bluethopia were initially selected to be protected. Abi was then asked to name three members of her team for the nomination list.
She picked Aikou, Araga and Yusuf, a decision that reshaped the week’s eviction process.
Her recognition as Most Influential Player also marked a milestone in the season, as she became the first female housemate to claim the title. Chimsom Chuka had previously received the honour, while Sultex was named the Most Influential Player the previous week.
Week Four
The fourth week introduced several changes to the competition’s familiar nomination structure.
Rather than simply enjoying the protection that came with winning the Head of House challenge, Abi and her team were drawn into Biggie’s nomination twist, which ultimately placed members of the winning team at risk.
Beyond the nomination drama, tensions continued to build among the housemates, with disagreements involving Oyin and Chimsom Chuka. Other storylines centred on Temi Nkem, Keivo and Tram.
Romantic connections also continued to emerge, as Yusuf expressed interest in Bells, while Ricky made efforts to develop a closer relationship with Goddessa.
The housemates also paid a price for repeated rule breaches, with ₦5 million deducted from the season’s prize fund.
With Cassi’s eviction and Neche’s voluntary departure, the number of contestants has continued to shrink as the season progresses.
The “Show Ya Sef” edition began on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for the ₦160 million grand prize.
Now entering its fifth week, the competition is expected to see further shifts in alliances and strategies as the remaining housemates face new tasks, nominations and possible evictions.
The introduction of features such as Gambit, Conspiracy Hour and the Most Influential Player award has continued to add new layers to the housemates’ battle for survival.
